Nichiboku's industrial Insights

Introduction

Pressure transmitters used in machinery monitoring must match the required pressure range, electrical output, pressure port, accuracy, installation environment and receiving instrumentation.

The Meiyo Electric SMP-MC and SMP-MC1 are compact pressure transmitters that convert pressure variation into a 4–20 mA DC analog signal. Meiyo Electric uses a thin-film strain-gauge pressure element formed on a stainless-steel diaphragm and a compact block-type construction.

The manufacturer identifies the complete second model as SMP-MC1. “MC1” alone should not be used as the equipment designation when preparing an RFQ. (Meiyo Electric SMP-MC Pressure Transmitter)

Compact Pressure Measurement and Signal Transmission

The SMP-MC Series is designed for installations where available mounting space and wiring access are important. Meiyo Electric identifies two principal product features:

  • Compact block-type construction

  • Connector-based wiring intended to simplify electrical connection

The transmitted signal can be integrated with compatible monitoring or control equipment. However, compatibility must be confirmed from the complete transmitter code, power supply, output requirements, load resistance and installation conditions.

Specification and Replacement Boundary

The public information does not confirm process-fluid compatibility, pressure-port dimensions, response time, long-term stability or installation-specific approvals.

The pressure range shown in an illustration or the external similarity of two transmitters does not establish interchangeability. SMP-MC and SMP-MC1 use different pressure-port codes, and the exact mechanical difference must be verified from the applicable manufacturer drawing.

The supplied images are illustrative external views. They are not manufacturer drawings and must not be used to determine dimensions, materials, certification or installation compatibility.

Service Life and Condition Assessment

The official SMP-MC product information does not state a fixed service-life value.

Continued suitability should be evaluated from output accuracy, zero and span stability, pressure cycling, vibration history, connector condition, sealing condition, corrosion and maintenance records. Installation age alone does not confirm remaining service life.

International Sourcing from Japan

Nichiboku supports marine operators, maintenance departments, industrial end users, EPC contractors and procurement teams requiring identified Meiyo Electric pressure transmitters from Japan.

Quotation and supply feasibility remain subject to confirmation of the complete model code, operating conditions, manufacturer review and current availability.
