Nagano Keiki CS76 Pressure Switch for Pneumatic and Hydraulic Pressure Control
Updated: 5 days ago
Nichiboku's industrial Insights
Introduction
Industrial pressure-control systems require reliable switching at defined pressure points for alarms, equipment sequencing and protective control functions.
The Nagano Keiki CS76 Pressure Switch uses a diaphragm sensing element and a double snap-action mechanism to activate its electrical contacts when the adjusted pressure point is reached.

Pressure Switching under Vibration
The CS76 incorporates a Belleville spring to support vibration resistance, durability and repeatable contact operation.
Its low setting-pressure ranges are combined with maximum operating-pressure capacities substantially higher than the adjusted range. This makes the series suitable for applications requiring low-pressure detection within systems that may experience higher operating pressure.
The CS76 is intended for general process locations without flammable gases or liquids capable of producing an explosive atmosphere. For hazardous locations, the separately specified CD76 explosion-proof model must be evaluated.

Switching Configurations
The model-code structure supports:
Upper-limit switching
Lower-limit switching
One-contact SPDT configuration
One-contact configuration for direct-current service
Two-contact simultaneous operation
Optional gold-plated contacts
Optional operating lamp
Optional terminal box
The terminal box and operating lamp cannot be installed together. Electrical contact ratings must be confirmed according to the selected switch configuration, voltage and load type.
Industrial Applications: Nagano Keiki CS76 Pressure Switch
The CS76 may be evaluated for:
Pneumatic-pressure control
Hydraulic-pressure monitoring
Pump and compressor protection
Liquid-level control
Flow-control systems
Lubrication and auxiliary equipment
Marine and industrial process machinery
Alarm and equipment-sequencing circuits
For high-viscosity fluids, Nagano Keiki warns that the diaphragm may stick and cause malfunction. A low-viscosity intermediary fluid or a special configuration should be evaluated with the manufacturer.
Information Required for Selection
Technical selection should confirm:
Complete CS76 model code
Pressure range and required set point
Upper- or lower-limit operation
Maximum system pressure
Process fluid and viscosity
Process connection
Contact quantity and switch type
Electrical voltage and load
Operating temperature
Mounting requirements
Required options and documentation
A replacement unit should not be selected only by appearance. The existing nameplate, complete model code, setting pressure, connection and electrical-contact configuration must be verified.
